The German Living Lab, AGRI FUTURE LAB Bayern, is launching the first “Allgäuer Kongress zur regionalen Agrarwende” (Allgäu Conference on the Regional Agricultural Transition), running from September 25 to the end of November 2026 and organized by the coordinating instance of AFL Bayern, AERA Land, and takes place across four stations in four Allgäu regions (Weitnau, Legau, Isny, Marktoberdorf) each with its own theme and guiding questions.
This is a major opportunity for stakeholder engagement and exchange, both within and beyond the Living Lab. Our participating farmers and other GroundWork partners will take part, alongside a wider group of stakeholders outside of GroundWork, from science and policy to industry, other farmers and civil society. They will come together to tackle a different angle on the region´s agricultural future. Results of all stations are brought together at the end in a closing retreat where AFL Bayern´s core team and active participants distill them into a shared answer to where agriculture in this region is headed, and more importantly, where they want to go.
