Guardians of Nature is a national network of women who act as local catalysts for ecosystem regeneration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development in protected areas of Portugal. Through training, mentoring, and mapping of best practices, it empowers women to lead the transition to a circular and low-carbon rural economy. The 4th National Meeting of Guardians of Nature brings together female farmers, researchers and organizations in Santarém, including the meeting ‘Women Who Cultivate the Future’ and a showcase of projects by women from protected areas.
