Through five Living Labs in Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and Serbia, GroundWork is collaborating with farmers, advisors, and local communities to co-create, test, and adapt regenerative grazing-based systems for both conventional and organic farms in various climates and landscapes.
Together with farmers, researchers, and other stakeholders, each of our Living Labs, will spend five years exploring how land use can be adapted to improve soil ecosystem processes and soil health. We will design and test methods tailored to local conditions that combine science, local knowledge, and practical experience to create resilient and sustainable food systems.
GroundWork is a comprehensive three-year program, co-created with farmers, to transform farms into resilient, regenerative ecosystems through adaptive livestock management. Through a combination of training, mentorship, and financial support, we will help farmers adopt and test regenerative grazing-based systems directly on their own land.
In our Swedish living lab, we collaborate with, among others, SLU as our scientific partner and Regenerativt Sverige as a third-party partner.
